المنظمون قاموا بدعوة السوريين لتجاوب مع هذا النداء لتظاهر في كل ارجاء سوريا بالاضافة لدول التي تنتشر فيها الجالية السورية ككندا، أميركا، بريطانيا، فرنسا،ألمانيا، أستراليا، للمطالبة بإسقاط بشار الاسد مؤكدين انهم لا ينتمون لأي جهة، وبكونهم يتواجدون داخل وخارج الاراضي السورية .
وكان الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد قد صرح في بداية الانتفاضة العربية بكونه لا يخشى اي انقلاب عليه، لأن بلاده لا تربطها علاقة مع اسرائيل وهذا مصدر قوة للقيام بالإصلاحات تدريجيا. بينما البعض علق بكون بشار الاسد يستعمل ورقة اسرائيل لكسب شعبية وتنويم مطالب الشعب السوري في الحرية، لأن المنطقة العربية تؤمن بأن كل من هو ضد اسرائيل فهو بطل.
