My gf and I are planning to go somewhere in Asia for 5-6 days over new years and were hoping for suggestions. So far I was thinking of Vietnam/Cambodia, maybe spending 3 days in Hanoi/Halong and 2 days in Angkor. Which would be better for New Years Eve?
The other thought was skip Cambodia and do more of Vietnam, perhaps Sapa but I'm told that it might be too cold during that time.
We're both in our early 30s, like good food/drinks, good resorts, looking for a mix of relaxation and sight-seeing. Any recommendations are welcome.
