So, this is a mystery to me.
If you try to buy a one way ticket non-stop or even 1 stop from Japan to USA, one way ticket, with Japanese airlines, it is really expensive, for any date.
Meanwhile, their two way (round-trip) is regular price.
For example, say, pick these data points:
- Date: April 1
- Airline: All Nippon Airways
- Price: around $5k - $6k
This is so weird, no one will buy those tickets. People will just do:
- Use other airlines, such as Korean Air, or
- Get 2 way tickets and just don't use the return ticket
Can anyone explain this anomaly?
