I have a flight from Australia to Vietnam that leaves in a couple weeks at 9pm. My flight has a stopover in the early morning, and then arrives in HCMC the next day. My eVisa is valid on the day I arrive, but not the day of my flight.
My concern is that I have heard airlines can potentially prevent you from boarding if you don’t have a valid visa.
I have time to apply for a new eVisa, but I’d prefer not to if I don’t need to. Of course, the cost of a new visa is a lot less than having to book a new flight, so I just want some clarification.
I spoke to my airline but they wouldn’t give me a straight answer, other than to say that they advise having all travel documents valid for the entirety of the trip.
Has anyone been in this situation before? What happened?
