Taking my honeymoon next year, and we really were interested in staying at a resort at Playa del Carmen, which is 45 minutes south of Cancun. Quite a few people have warned me about that being hurricane season there. Doing some research, and it seems like it hasn't been hit by a hurricane in 10 years, but that it can rain a lot.
Has anyone gone in that time frame, and how much rain did you really seem to experience? Is it enough to make it not worth going there?
