Hello r/travel! I found myself with a totally free 10 day slot of time in late November and want to take a trip out west. I have previously backpacked through Europe, but this will be my first time traveling solo. I know that certain parks (North Rim) are only open for day use at this point and time and I do not have colder weather camping gear so my plan was to rent a car and utilize AirBnBs for the majority of the trip. Rough itinerary below! Would appreciate any advice regarding activities/changes to length of time in certain spots. Flying in an out of Vegas seems to be the cheapest option, but could also consider flying in/out of different airports (PHX) if it makes more sense. Would plan to stay in/around the location listed in the parentheses.
Sunday 11/21 - Fly into Vegas drive to Zion (Zion)
Monday 11/22 - Zion National Park (Zion)
Tuesday 11/23 - am finish up Zion at and pm drive to Bryce (Bryce)
Wednesday 11/24 - Bryce in am, pm drive to North Rim (Grand Canyon)
Thursday 11/25 - Grand Canyon (Grand Canyon)
Friday 11/26 - am drive to Sedona/relax (Sedona)
Saturday 11/27 - Sedona hike, stay in Sedona vs. PM drive to Phoenix (Sedona/Phoenix)
Sunday 11/28 - Phoenix (Phoenix)
Monday 11/29 - am drive to Joshua Tree (Joshua Tree)
Tuesday 11/30 - Back to Vegas for flight out
Driving distances:
Vegas to Zion NP ~3 hours
Zion to Bryce ~ 1 hour 45 mins
Bryce to North Rim of Grand Canyon ~3 hours
North Rim to Sedona ~ 4 hours
Sedona to Phoenix ~ 2 hours 15 mins
Phoenix to Joshua Tree ~ 3 hours
Joshua Tree to Las Vegas ~ 3 hours
