I have a trip booked to Jordan for Pertra. I’m thinking of jumping on a flight to Cairo and back while I’m there. Is Cairo and a quick private day tour of the pyramids safe? Is this feasible?

I’m landing in Amman in December 27 and gonna trek Dana to Petra, then back to Amman. I’m thinking of jumping to Cairo get a private day tour pick up at Cairo airport hotel and back next day to Amman again. Flying back to US from Amman January 5. What challenges are there to this plan? Safety? Logistics? Visa. Negative pcr tests will be needed I know.

FWIW I had open tickets w Turkish air and had to fly in/out of Amman.
