South Mexico, Belize and Guatemala tips?

Hi guys, looking for advice for a trip I'm planning with a friend to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala over NYE. Both late twenties, want a good party for the new year but after that more chilled backpacker spots. Both like hiking, wildlife and diving (PADI open water qualified)

Going out for two weeks looking to pack in as much as I can. Is all three countries in two weeks too ambitious?

Rough itinerary:

• 5 days working down Coast of Mexico from Cancun to Belize City

• 4 days diving and beach in Belize

• 5 days hiking and general sightseeing in Guatemala

Some key questions:

1. Is Cancun worth it?
2. Best place in South Mexico for NYE?
3. Best place to stay in Belize?
4. Best diving sites, beaches etc in Belize?
5. If you could only go to a few of the Mayan/Aztec ruins which would you choose?
6. Best experiences in Guatemala?
