Hello,
I was hoping to get some feedback/advice on the honeymoon we are planning in the South of France.
We are planning on flying in and out of Nice end of April to mid-May and this is what we were thinking so far with a few extra days available depending on where we would want to spend more time..
-Land in Nice, spend 3 nights exploring the city
-Spend 2 nights at a nice costal resort in St Tropez, Cannes, or another place recommended on the coast.
-Rent a car and drive up to Lake of Croix/Moustiers St Marie to spend a night in a smaller village with a short hike near the Verdon Gorge.
-Drive to Avignon with a stay along the way at a vineyard for 3 nights.
-3 nights to explore Avignon with a day trip to somewhere near by, maybe another vineyard.
-1 night in Montpelier to see PSG play at Mosson Stadium.
-Back to Nice for a night before flying home.
Some questions I had were:
-Is there anything on that rough outline that seems too ambitious/rushed, too much time/not enough time in a place, or missing something that can't be missed? We want to be able to relax, but definitely want to have time on the coast, in Nice and Avignon, at a vineyard, and to see the Gorge of Verdon. The soccer game would be the first thing to drop, but it would be great to see Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe play for PSG.
-Are there any vineyards that standout in this region over others? Any vineyards that offer accommodations that you would recommend?
-Is it worth it to spend a night in Monte Carlo?
-Is the process of buying tickets and attending a PSG game difficult?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
