Which aspects of travelling are cheaper in a group of 3 rather than alone?

Been offered to join a group of 2, wouldn't mind that but I am used to solo travelling so would go just if there is some convenience. Apart from say splitting the cost of a room in 3 instead of 1, what can be some economical advantages of travelling in a small group?
