I'm going on a road trip May 1-11, from Las Vegas to San Francisco, and I'm a bit undecided about the iteniary.
Things I must do:
+ Visit several theme parks
+ Visit national parks
+ Have fun and see quirky things
Things I do not enjoy:
- Club scenes
- Foodie places or vineyards
- Resorts and "generally trendy places"
My vague iteniary right now is:
- Las Vegas:
- Casinos, shows etc and helicopter ride over Grand Canyon
- Death Valley
- Quirky things like the world's biggest thermometer on the way to San Diego
- San Diego:
- San Diego Zoo and maybe SeaWorld
- Los Angeles:
- Lots of stuff (Griffith Observatory, RMS Queen Mary, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier etc)
- Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm
- Yosemite
- San Francisco, leaving for home
NOTE: I will already have spent time in San Francisco and Las Vegas before I start my road trip. And I know that this is a packed schedule, but I like that. Still, I'm thinking of skipping San Diego and spending more time in the other places and/or adding Sequoia instead.
Am I missing something important with this plan? And for a thrill-seeking and nature-loving laid-back guy, would you recommend that I include San Diego - or skip it in favor of having more time in SF and other places?
