There are countless areas in the world that are great to visit no doubt, but I would like to hear about areas that are best for having no plan of action, the best places to just explore around without any specific agenda for what to see.
I am looking to travel to somewhere preferably rural, but I am interested in whatever you could provide! This would be a trip with maybe a few spots in mind, but several days worth of mainly driving around and exploring the area. I have looked at some northern coastal/lakeside towns or islands, so far I have considered Vancouver Island, Vermont, and Nova Scotia. I've looked for places with distinct landscapes or unique houses and buildings.
I am from the states, so I am looking for somewhere in the US or Canada, but I'd love suggestions of anywhere in the world.
