About fifty young people from Amnesty International sections in Morocco, the Middle East, North Africa and the European Union take part in the 13th national campus of Amnesty International, opened on Monday in Bouznika (33 kilometres from Rabat) under the sign: "Change our World." The meeting, which runs until September 10, aims to initiate a debate on the issues of democracy, citizenship and human rights to enable young people to take ownership of their rights. he gathering is also meant to encourage young people's interest in public affairs and promote the setting up of strategies for strengthening and promoting the culture of human rights. Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Director of AI-Morocco, Abdellaoui Salah, said that the meeting coincides with the momentum of young people for the consolidation of democracy, protection of human rights and social equity. He also wished the meeting helps strengthening cooperation and exchange of experiences between young people in the MENA region and those in Europe in order to face together the challenges of globalization and reduce social disparities. The programme of this meeting includes a series of activities designed to provide young people with means enabling them to transform the virtual spaces into democratic dialogue and exchange forums for the promotion of human rights culture.
