Hi All!
Currently, I am planning a trip for two to Ethiopia and Djibouti. Mostly, we'll be travelling by public transport such as (mini) busses. As we start in Ethiopia and end in Djibouti, we looked up some transport options and came across the train route Addis Ababa - Djibouti City. We've travelled quite a lot by train and prefer this way of travelling over many others. However, we find a lot of contradicting information online.
Does anyone here have recent experience riding this train?
According to some sources, there seems to be an overnight stop in Diri Dawa. Not the worst case, but a direct train would be nicer for many reasons.
Also, would an E-Visa be okay for the land border crossing into Djibouti? The Djibouti government site says yes, but other sources had trouble.
