What has happened to customer service?
In late June, my wife and daughter traveled from DTW to Amsterdam in one suitcase. The suitcase never arrived and was never located. WE stayed at our destination for two months without our clothes, toiletries, etc. Our claim totaled approximately $1400 in expenses and $2000 for the lost bag and contents.
After jumping through numerous hoops, KLM compensated us the odd sum of $1111.00 without explanation. This is less than our documented expenses and does not even include the lost contents. We will continue to fight this either through small claims court or Amex insurance.
I welcome any thoughts or suggestions.
