I’ll be traveling to Belgium in late September, coming from Amsterdam by train. My original plan was to stay in Brussels for three nights and do day trips to Bruges and Ghent, but the more I look into it, the more Brussels seems underwhelming. I only have three days in Belgium, and I’m wondering if I should skip Brussels altogether and stay in either Bruges or Ghent instead.
Would it make sense to use Brussels as a home base and just take the quick train to Bruges/Ghent for a day? Curious to hear what y'all think.
