My husband and I are both teachers and so we have plenty of time to travel together in the summer, but our spring breaks usually don't line up. EXCEPT we just got the 2027-28 schedules and we will have the same spring break in March 2028, so it's a very rare opportunity to travel together that time of year, and I'm looking for suggestions. We're in San Diego and will have nine total days off (so for me this is probably too short a stretch to go to Europe). We like history, sightseeing, cities, walking around cities, eating, but we also like hiking and the outdoors. It would be great to go somewhere that's unbearably hot in the summer but pleasant in March. Do you have any recommendations?
