Hi, me (26F) and three friends booked a trip to Albania in mid September and still haven’t decided on the itinerary. Me and one other friend really want to go to the north (as we have beaches at home), and the other two prefer to go to the beach, so I was wondering on how doable would be to do both?
We were thinking:
Day 1 - Tirana (me and friend 1 arrive)
Day 2 - Tirana (friend 2 and 3 arrive)
Day 3 - drive to Dhermi / Himare (undecided on which to stay)
Day 4 - Dhermi / Himare
Day 5 - Dhermi / Himare
Day 6 - drive to Shkoder
Day 7 - go to Theth or Shala river (friend 1 leaves)
Day 8 - Theth or Shala river
Day 8 - go back to Tirana in the afternoon
Day 9 - Tirana
Day 10 - Tirana (and we leave at night)
Do you think this is doable? Do you think we should just stick to an area? It’s kinda tricky because neither of us wants to give up on either waterfalls/beach. Are we skipping any cool place by travelling this much? Any suggestions?
Also if anyone has been to Permet or any waterfall/mountain area in the south, could it be a good alternative to Theth if we need to compromise?
